Ashlynn Hensley, originally from East Tennessee, earned a minor in Business from East Tennessee State University before receiving her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Tennessee Wesleyan University. A dental hygienist since 2021, Ashlynn recently joined the CarolinasDentist team in Wilmington. She loves being able to connect with people throughout the community while making a positive impact, one smile at a time.
Ashlynn’s top hygiene tip is simple: “An electric toothbrush should be your ride or die!” Outside the dental office, Ashlynn loves spending time with her two doodles and helping local dog rescues—she even ended up adopting one of her fosters! While she loves cooler weather, she’s grateful to have the beach close by whenever she wants to enjoy it.

In her leadership role, she especially loves mentoring and coaching hygienists, helping them grow in confidence, strengthen their clinical skills, and develop into exceptional providers. She takes pride in supporting her team and fostering an environment of continuous learning and encouragement.
Her best advice for patients is simple: stay consistent with routine check-ups and cleanings to maintain optimal health. Outside of the office, Jenna enjoys traveling—especially to warm, tropical destinations—and is engaged to her high school sweetheart, adding a personal touch to her passion for caring for others.
