Let Us Handle Your Same-Day Dental Crowns

Dental crowns cover the “crown” of a tooth, acting as a cap, and that’s how they get their name. We employ them to restore decayed, worn down, cracked, and broken teeth. And we always make sure they’re designed to look and fit naturally for you.

We’re excited to offer same-day crowns at CarolinasDentist using CEREC®, which cuts a multiple-visit procedure down to just one visit. We’ll take digital impressions of your teeth (no more of those uncomfortable, goopy impression trays), design your custom crown, and send the information to the on-site milling center (no waiting weeks for an off-site lab to do it for us). This modern technology also allows us to make any corrections and adjustments right then and there, saving you time and letting you walk out with a permanent, custom-fit restoration.

Same-Day Dental Crowns FAQs

Are same-day dental crowns as good as regular crowns?

Using advanced technology like CAD/CAM systems, same-day dental crowns are custom-made on-site, ensuring a precise fit and natural appearance. Same-day crowns are often made out of porcelain, offering durability and functionality similar to traditional crowns. If you have not had a same-day crown before, one of our dentists will inform you of all its benefits!

Why would I need a same-day crown?

A same-day dental crown offers convenience and efficiency in restoring a damaged or weak tooth. It can also help you feel confident in your smile again. Same-day crowns provide an immediate solution for patients looking to restore their smiles beautifully and effectively.

Will a dentist do a same-day extraction?

In many cases, yes — if the tooth is infected, broken, or causing severe pain, a same-day extraction may be scheduled. After an exam and X-ray, we can determine if it is safe to remove the tooth immediately or if medication or additional preparation is needed first. We can also discuss our tooth-replacement options with you, if applicable. Our priority is to relieve pain and protect your oral health as quickly as possible.

Do I have to call to make a same-day dentist appointment?

It is best to call so we can assess your situation and secure the soonest available time. We try to read and respond to virtual requests as quickly as we can, but calling helps us prioritize urgent cases and give you instructions before you arrive. The sooner you contact us, the faster we can help.

Can I visit another location if my usual office is booked for the day?

Yes! CarolinasDentist has more than a dozen locations across North Carolina, so you are welcome to schedule a same-day visit at another office if your regular location has no openings. All of our offices share patient records, so the team at any location can access your history and provide the same level of consistent, seamless care without delay.

I went in for an emergency extraction of my molar. The staff were so sweet and so helpful. I love the vibe and atmosphere, it helped me be a little more calm since I have SEVERE dentist anxiety. Audrey and Dr. Blair took such great care of me and help me with my fear of the dentist. I will definitely be coming back to see them!!!

Would recommend them to anyone.Had to have 2 teeth pulled root canal and a filling. I have anxiety when it comes to the dentist. But the dentist and her assistant made me feel very comfortable. Even holding her hand when she was numming my mouth. And asking me if I was ok during the process. Very happy customer.
