Now Offering 3D Printing at CarolinasDentist – Wilmington, Asheville & Winston-Salem!

3d printing in dentistry

Big news for our Wilmington – The Pointe, Asheville, and Winston-Salem patients: CarolinasDentist is now offering in-house 3D printing technology—bringing faster, more precise, and more customized care right to your appointment. This exciting update means shorter wait times, more comfort, and fewer outside lab delays for a range of dental treatments.

What is 3D Printing in Dentistry?

3D printing in dentistry is a high-tech way to create dental models, trays, nightguards, surgical guides, and even temporary crowns or bridges—right in the office. Instead of sending impressions to an outside lab and waiting days (or weeks), we can now print many of these items ourselves.

This means better accuracy, quicker turnaround, and a more streamlined experience for you as the patient.

How It Helps Patients

Whether you’re getting a custom whitening tray, a clear aligner, or a temporary crown, 3D printing makes the process faster and more efficient. So, here’s how it benefits you:

Fewer appointments: For devices that used to take multiple visits.

Improved fit and comfort: Thanks to highly accurate digital scans.

Faster delivery: Since there’s no need to ship materials to a lab.

More control: Over your care, all under one roof.

From same-day dental models to detailed surgical guides for implants, 3D printing opens up a whole new level of convenience.
