Why Should I See a Family Dentist?

A Black mom and dad smile with their adorable daughter before visiting their family dentist at CarolinasDentist

Many cities have a wide variety and selection of dentists and dental practices. You may see the term “family dentist” or “family dentistry.” What does this mean? And why should you see a family dentist? Here are the benefits:

Experience Working with Kids

Family dentists offer comprehensive dental care for your whole family. That includes babies, teenagers, and adults. Any of these age groups can struggle with dental anxiety and dental disease. Family dentists have experience helping a wide range of patients to manage their fears and achieve excellent oral health! They also usually offer kid-friendly amenities, like a play area and prize box.

“One-Stop-Shop”

Because we care for all age groups, we offer a wide range of dental services and treatments. You can come to us for general dentistry, deep cleanings, wisdom teeth removal, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and special services like emergency dentistry and sleep apnea treatment. We strive to deliver quality care that meets all your oral healthcare needs!

Convenient

Because family dentists can treat everyone in your family, you don’t need to worry about managing appointments at different dental practices. Having one dentist for your family also means all your dental records are in one place. At CarolinasDentist, we offer family block scheduling, early morning appointments, and late evening appointments to accommodate our patients’ busy schedules.

Develop Relationships

Your child doesn’t need to leave their familiar family dentist once they hit a certain age! Visiting the same dental office throughout early childhood and beyond allows your child to develop a relationship and comfortable familiarity with their dental team. This will help them feel more confident and less intimidated by routine dental visits as they grow up.

Family Dentistry at CarolinasDentist

As a family dental practice, we can care for everyone in your family. We accept several payment options, including dental insurance and CareCredit® financing. We also offer an in-house dental discount plan! If you have questions about our services or want to schedule an appointment at one of our locations, please contact us today.
