Dr. Lauren Martin is originally from Morehead City, North Carolina. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007, graduating with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. She went on to earn her Master’s degree in Chemistry from East Carolina University before returning to UNC, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UNC Adams School of Dentistry in 2015. With more than 10 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Martin is excited to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to patients at CarolinasDentist Cary.
Dr. Martin loves being a dentist because it allows her to build meaningful relationships with patients while continuing to learn and grow throughout her career. She is passionate about helping patients understand the connection between oral health and overall health, empowering them to achieve healthier smiles for life. She is also a proud member of the American Dental Association.
Outside the office, Dr. Martin is a busy mom of four, with three daughters and one son. She and her husband have been Carolina Hurricanes season ticket holders since 2015, and their family’s newest adventure is learning to ice skate together. When she isn’t cheering on the Hurricanes, you can find her swimming, watching just about any sport, reading, or spending time with her family.
Dr. Martin’s best advice for maintaining a healthy smile is simple: the most important time to brush and floss is before going to bed each night. She looks forward to meeting patients and helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles for years to come!
