Originally from Aulander, North Carolina, Derwin Bowser is proud to begin his career as a Registered Dental Hygienist with the CarolinasDentist Chapel Hill team. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from East Carolina University before graduating from the UNC Adams School of Dentistry, where he completed his dental hygiene training. As a new hygienist, Derwin is excited to serve patients, build lasting relationships, and become an active part of the Chapel Hill community.
“Consistency is key!” Derwin says when sharing his top oral health tip. His passion for dentistry comes from a desire to help people improve both their health and confidence through education and preventive care. He enjoys making dental visits a positive experience while empowering patients to take control of their oral health.
Outside the office, Derwin enjoys gaming and spending time with his Mini Goldendoodle, who keeps him active and entertained. His enthusiasm for helping others and commitment to patient-centered care make him a valued member of the CarolinasDentist Chapel Hill team.
