Maria, originally from Wilmington, NC, has been a dental hygienist for a couple of years and joined the CarolinasDentist team at Porters Neck in February 2026. A graduate of Cape Fear Community College, Maria’s interest in dentistry began at a young age because she always loved going to the dentist. That positive experience inspired her to pursue a career where she could educate and interact with patients while helping them feel confident in their smiles.
Outside of the office, Maria loves spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors. She has five siblings and is very close with her niece and nephew. Since she grew up in Wilmington, summer is her favorite season, and she thrives being outside in the sunshine. Maria is also Italian, which means pasta is always her go-to comfort food. 🍝
