Emily Spiering’s love of dentistry started at home, she grew up surrounded by dental professionals and knew early that she wanted to help people feel great about their smiles. Born on an Army base in Lawton, Oklahoma, Emily moved to Shelby, North Carolina as a child and still considers it home. She first pursued nursing at East Carolina University, but her heart led her to dental hygiene, and she completed her hygiene degree at Central Piedmont Community College.
Since graduating in 2014, Emily has dedicated herself to creating positive dental experiences, spending nearly eight of those years with our Gastonia office. Her advice to patients is simple: even if you feel nervous, keep up with your appointments, you’ll never be alone in the process.
Emily’s personal passions are as creative as they are calming. She’s an avid reader and enjoys building intricate “book nooks” and solving challenging puzzles. At home she’s happily entertained by her quirky cat, Hank, who often curls up beside her during her latest literary adventure.
