Dr. Bahekar was born and raised in India’s great city of Mumbai. She continues to celebrate her Indian heritage through various forms of art. She completed dental school with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, furthering her career through training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She practiced in both surgical and general dentistry before moving her life and career to the United States in 2016. In 2016, Dr. Bahekar joined the Advanced Standing International Dentist program at VCU and earned her DDS degree in May 2019.
Dr. Bahekar is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the North Carolina Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. She enjoys working with various aspects of general dentistry with a focus on surgical and esthetic dental procedures. She has also completed additional training for Implant Dentistry with the Triangle Dental Institute, Comprehensive Esthetic Dentistry with the renowned Nash Institute. Dr. Bahekar is also a certified provider for Invisalign and enjoys providing aligner therapy to her patients to let their smiles shine as bright as possible. She is gentle, steady-handed and extremely caring with her patients.
Dr. Bahekar now lives in Fayetteville with her husband Pavan and their two dogs, Mika and Copper. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her pups, canvas painting, traveling, experimental cooking and yoga.
