Dr. Miguel Velez III is a dedicated and compassionate dentist who takes pride in helping his patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. He believes that dentistry is not just about restoring teeth, but about building lasting relationships rooted in trust and care. Dr. Velez loves listening to his patients’ needs and being part of the transformation that allows them to reach their oral health goals—celebrating each milestone alongside them.
Originally from New England, Dr. Velez earned his undergraduate degree from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine, and later completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine. During his time in dental school, Dr. Velez earned entry into the esteemed Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and earned the sole Academic Achievement Award. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the First District Dental Society of North Carolina.
Outside the office, Dr. Velez stays active and adventurous. He’s a proud member of the Army National Guard, has completed a Spartan Race Ultra Marathon, and is currently training for a 50-mile Ultra Marathon in 2026. When he’s not training, you’ll likely find him exploring the mountains of Western North Carolina, riding his motorcycle or enjoying quality time with his wife and two children.
