Dr. Devinney was raised in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he eventually found his passion for dentistry after realizing the potential that dentists have to improve the lives of others. He attended undergraduate school at Penn State University to receive his bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science in 2013. He then attended Dental School at Temple University to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2017.
Dr. Devinney joined the Army after graduation to serve as an Active-Duty Dentist until 2020 at Fort Bragg. During his time in the service, Dr. Devinney deployed to Kuwait and Qatar to provide dental care to soldiers serving in the Middle East. While deployed, Dr. Devinney advanced his training in endodontics and oral surgery.
After his time in the military, Dr. Devinney decided to stay in the wonderful state of North Carolina and joined the CarolinasDentist team to continue providing dental care to the community. Dr. Devinney is certified in Invisalign, is a member of the American Dental Association and prides himself on excelling in Restorative and Aesthetic dentistry as well as endodontics (root canals) and oral surgery. Dr. Devinney enjoys keeping up with the up-and-coming technology in dentistry and is committed to learning new information through several continuing education courses and programs.
When designing your treatment plan, Dr. Devinney takes the approach of giving you full control of the design of your treatment plan. His focus is on providing you the knowledge and confidence to make a decision together on how to meet your goals for your smile.
When not working, Dr. Devinney spends his time visiting family, hiking, camping and traveling with friends. His favorite places to go include the mountains and several of the surrounding beaches that North Carolina has to offer.
